Senator Shehu Sani, has raised concern over the state of Nigeria Police. Sani who is representing Kaduna Central district in the National Assembly yesterday called on the federal government to stop sidelining the Nigeria police and accord them same attention it gives the Nigerian Military.
He said this in reaction to the recent approval of N1bn by President Buhari for military equipment. Speaking on the repercussion of sidelining police, Sani wrote:
“If we use a Billion dollar to upgrade our military arsenals to the 21st century while leaving behind our police in the 20th century and other security agencies in the 19th century,we will be dancing with the Python & sleeping with the Cobra,Viper,Mamba & Anaconda.”
President Buhari earlier this week approved the fund during a meeting with the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali (rtd), and the service chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
