Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has reached an agreement to join Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.
The Spain international was signed from Real Madrid for a club-record £60 million last summer but has struggled to find consistency at Stamford Bridge.
Morata has scored 13 goals in 39 appearances this season but his role as Antonio Conte’s first-choice striker has come under threat following the arrival of Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.
Giroud has scored four goals in his last five appearances, including the winner against Liverpool on Sunday, while Morata missed the game through injury.
The 25-year-old has already been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer, and according to Rai Sport, the striker’s entourage have an agreement in place with Juventus.
The report claims that Morata is ready to take a pay cut in order to join Juventus as the Serie A champions would be unwilling to match the salary he is earning at Stamford Bridge.
Juventus have not yet reached an agreement with Chelsea and the Italian side are not prepared to spend above £60m for the striker.
Rai Sport claim that one potential option for Juve is to propose a two-year loan, which would include an option to buy in the summer of 2020.
Morata spent two seasons on loan at Juve and won the league and cup double twice during his time in Italy.
