A Bangladesh plane carrying 67 passengers on-board has crashed. The plane crashed in a football pitch near Kathmandu airport while trying to land at the airport.
Number of casualties is yet to be ascertained. However, 20 passengers have been rescued as firefighters battled to extinguish the burning wreckage and rescue more passengers. Airport spokesman Prem Nath Thakur while confirming the sad occurrence said;
“There were 67 passengers and 4 crew members aboard the plane.
“So far 20 injured have been taken to the hospital. Police and army are trying to cut apart the plane to rescue others.
“We are trying to bring the fire under control. Details are awaited,the airport had been shut down and all other flights diverted.
“We’re now concentrating on evacuating the passengers.”
